Research Collaboration Positions
According to a recent report by Cisco, today video traffic accounts for the most part of the global Internet traffic. This research aims at designing automatic control algorithms for the delivery of multimedia content through Content Delivery Networks (CDN) or Clouds.
The Control of Computing and Communication Systems Lab (C3LAB) is looking for highly qualified graduates, PhDs and PostDocs to conduct research activities in one of the following topics:
- control algorithms for the optimal allocation of resource in a cloud-based multimedia content distribution system
- control algorithms for adaptive video-streaming
- congestion control algorithms for real-time flows
The ideal candidate has a solid background in networking, control systems (time delay systems, hybrid systems), discrete event simulators (Omnet, NS2, NS3) and object-oriented programming.

The salary and job conditions will depend on the CV of the candidate. PhD, post-docs grants and temporary contract positions are available.

The working language is English. The candidate shall work at the "Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica e dell'Informazione" at Politecnico di Bari that is located in the Univeristy campus in the center of Bari, Italy.
