Luca DE CICCO has graduated in Computer Science Engineering in 2003 (Politecnico di Bari) magna cum laude.

In 2004 he participated to the project Implementation and measurement of congestion control protocols over GPRS and UMTS in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino.

Since April 2005 he is PhD student at Politecnico di Bari. His main research interests are focused on TCP congestion control (TCPW+) and rate based congestion control over UDP/IP stacks. Moreover he is an active developer in several GNU/Linux embedded software development projects (GPE, OpenEmbedded, maemo). He is currently a visiting scholar at ECE Department at University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM, USA) collaborating in the FIND (Future INternet Design) project.
